SMS Terms
Terms for text messaging with Weedagama Foundation.
These SMS Terms describe how Weedagama Foundation ("Foundation," "we," "us," or "our") sends and receives text messages. By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these terms.
Program description
We use SMS for customer care and informational messaging. Examples include replies to questions you send us, confirmations that we received a message or attachment, and follow-up messages related to foundation programs, donations, applications, volunteering, or other topics you raised with us.
We do not use SMS for unsolicited marketing broadcasts.
How you opt in
You may receive text messages from us only if you have opted in. Opt-in happens when you initiate a text conversation with us after receiving our text-enabled contact information through direct, private communication. Examples include a staff member sharing our text contact details by email, printed event materials, partner referral, or another one-on-one channel.
We do not list our SMS phone number on this public website. Sending us the first message after receiving our number through one of these private channels is your consent to receive conversational replies about your inquiry.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your conversation with us. You may receive several messages while we are actively assisting you, and fewer or no messages when no inquiry is open.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
Opt out and help
You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation and you will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt in again.

Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at /page/privacy-policy explains how we handle personal information, including mobile phone numbers. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised.
